5th edition of the iMED Congress: IMVF supports internships of young doctors
IMVF was one of the partners and members of Honor Committee of the iMed5.0 – Innovating Medicine Congress, supporting this annual initiative by assigning internships to young doctors , within the Health for All project in Sao Tome and Principe. Maria Catarina Damásio and Marta Pimenta were one of the three pairs of young doctors who “stamped the passport” for two weeks of training in primary healthcare.
The two students of the 6th year of medicine at the School of Medical Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon won the Clinical Mind Competition, a competition that aims to test the young doctors’ medical reasoning through the solving clinical cases presented in real time. In order to contribute to the personal and curricular training of young medical students this conference brought together doctors and scientists internationally recognized for their contribution to innovation in the medical sciences.
From theory to practice…
The need to take quick and conscious decisions was something they had to deal since their first day of work in Sao Tome and Principe, testing their medical instincts and their ability to improvise.
