The orthopaedics missions have been divided in adult orthopaedics and infantile orthopaedics. The correction of neglected fractures is the most common cause of surgery in Sao Tome and Principe and these medical specialty’s missions have had a great positive impact in the Sao Tomean children that until the Health for All programme lived impaired lives.
